2 Threading to IR3
Apart from the obvious polarity checks that we will have to carry out on the BPM system during the injection test, here are some other checks that will have to (or it would be good to) perform during the test:

1) Check of correct H / V mapping for BPMS (45 degree rotated BPM in both Q2)
2) Check of geometric BPM correction. This is only really visible at large aperture, so we can probably couple this with the aperture mearements.
3) Capture measurement using the RF prepulse distributed via the BST. This would give us a good indication of whether or not we are synchronised and with the data collected would allow us to develop an algorithm for a fast & efficient phase-in of the BPMs ready for circulating beam.

7 BLM We would want to request some measurements for the BLM system during LHC injection test in Point 2.
The aim of these measurements would be to compare them with IR3 simulations for the ratio of the BLM signal per proton on collimator.

It follows a summary of the intended procedure, and requirements:

Logging:
- injected intensity in the LHC (either in LHC itself, or in the transfer line)
- BLM expert logging (taken care of by the BLM team)
- Beam profile at the collimators (second priority)

Settings:
- "dumping" of the injected beam on a TCP, 3 different TCS, and a TCLA collimator (preferably horizontal or vertical collimators).
- 5-10 shoots per collimator
- collimator settings: one jaw at its maximal position over the beam center (-5mm), the other jaw as close as possible (~1mm distance), all following collimators should be closed the same way.

- time for these measurements:  13-25min.
