LHC logbook (elogbook option - NICE login required, and then select LHC OP from the pull down menu)
RP veto's lifted and access around ring Monday morning.
Full program of measurements Sunday evening and Monday morning until 06:00 as per schedule.
NB we'll skip the LHC compensator checks this morning and carry on with beam dump studies.
16:00 Beam dump studies progressing quietly during the day on Sunday.
Sunday 08:15 BLM threshold check in progress.
Overnight Sat - Sun
Aperture measurements and collimator studies as planned.
Saturday20:35 Inject & dump .Beam into beam dump channel
Saturday 20:04 Beam to point 5. Splash event courtesy of CMS. Given the delay we'll push the detailed dump region studies until tomorrow. First pass injection and dump into the beam dump, dispersion, kick repsonse and into the night's program as planned.
Saturday 19:25 Beam to point 6.
Saturday 15:45 recalcitrant vacuum valve/interlock - injection delayed
14:45 Saturday - acccess finished - preparing to take beam 2.
Access foreseen for midday Saturday for two hours - schedule updated accordingly.
Saturday Morning
10:30 TDI studies
08:30 Alice spectrometer
Overnight Friday - Saturday
Full night of measurements - BLM threshold test, polarity checks, collimators studies - with beam in sector 23.
Friday evening
23:00 Beam to point 3 - carry on with beam 1 program overnight. We're leaving beam 2 until tomorrow - intervention required in point 8.
21:00 Preparing S23 for beam - the main bends of S78 tripped during the pre-cycle - checks in progress. S67 OK for injection level. Splice mapping in S56 finished.
Will delay S78 - S67 - S56 tests for the moment and continue with beam 1 program.
Friday afternoon
18:55 Access required in point to fix electrical problem. Delayed for an hour or so.
17:30 LHC closed. S67 tests ongoing - estimate another hour or so. Beam thereafter.
15:30 Access system tests finished. Access required in S45 to prepare for weekend (powering tests will continue in parallel to beam tests). Final powering tests in S67 ongoing. Expect to be closed up and ready to take beam at around 18:00. Beam down TI2 onto TED.
Looking good at the moment for beam to point 5. Still tests to do on main dipole circuit in S56 and S67 which should be finished by the early afternoon. Still aiming to close at 14:00. When the ring is closed some access system tests are foreseen.
